Lost Light is a modern survival shooter developed and published by NetEase. You are tasked with joining the Firefly Army, a group of people trying to survive in the brutal apocalyptic world of Lost Lights while uncovering the secrets behind the Exclusion Zone. It’s a dog-eat-dog world, and it’s up to you to come out on top in life where you’re likely to find a gun pointed at your back before you find an ally. Similar to what is found in State, it focuses on realistic gameplay and detailed firearm customization.
You might be looking forward to testing out your new favorite game controller, but like most mobile shooters, this game doesn’t have built-in controller support. However, this doesn’t mean you can’t be happy playing the game once you’ve gotten the hang of the controls. We’ll show you how to get started by providing helpful tips and tricks.
getting started
Choose between male and female operators. You can customize your character, although your options are limited to face and hairstyle.
Select a nickname and enter a reference code (if applicable). Once done, sit back and enjoy the opening cinematic.
first tutorial mission
The first mission teaches you basic controls. Move your character with the left virtual joycon and tap the bullet button on the right side of the screen to shoot. Note that this tutorial mission uses a timer. Otherwise, the mission will repeat if you do not complete all objectives before the timer reaches 0.
Follow the green line and tap the objective. After searching for an objective, tap it to pick up the item. Tap the door to open or close it.
Once the gun is fully loaded tap the zoom button to switch to first person view (aim down sight) or tap the reload button to manually reload. You can use hip fire which keeps the character in third person view. Check out two GIFs of him comparing 1st and 3rd person.
Note: Once inside the shelter, you can change the button mapping by tapping the gear icon.
To loot the body, you must perform the final move. Collect loot by tapping on bodies.
Your goal is to grab the wrench and reach the extraction point. This completes the tutorial and heads to the shelter. Welcome to the game’s main lobby!
gameplay
All facilities are accessible by walking around the shelter. This is where you perform upgrades, change weapons, restore health, visit shops, and select modes/missions.

firearm fanatic
Outside of survival PvPvE mode, Lost Light offers weapon customization, to the point where the options are a bit overwhelming in the early game. However, it’s much better to have more options available than not enough. Introducing access to custom loadouts and firearm upgrade options gives you complete control over your gameplay so you don’t have to settle for randomized loot found in missions.Lost Light is a visually pleasing experience not only. Mission objectives test your survival skills by forcing you to make tactical decisions and execute plans of action. Lost Light may be an alternative to your typical survival shooter or battle royale experience. That’s why I’ve included the Play Store widget below.
