Xbox Series S/X and Xbox one players will soon be able to play Battlefield 2042 with Game Pass.
Battlefield 2042 looks back on an extremely bumpy launch. Since then, a lot has improved and many issues have been fixed, but fans are still waiting for new content and the first season. We still don’t know exactly when this will happen, but there are new discoveries related to the extensive in-game store and premium currency. In addition, Game Pass subscribers can expect to play the DICE shooter with a subscription.
Battlefield 2042 on Game Pass? It looks something like this
Quo vadis, Battlefield 2042? If you’re wondering how EA and DICE’s first-person shooter is supposed to go, now you can get the answer. After various rumors that Battlefield 2042 could become Free2Play, it probably needs to be taken one step further.
Game Pass hints found: Like a party XGP discovered the Game Pass sign in the Microsoft store for Battlefield 2042. Unlike in FIFA 22, the small symbol has not been removed, at least not for Xbox Store page in Polish is it still visible?
There hasn’t been an official announcement yet, but in theory Battlefield 2042 is already playable at the Game Pass Premium tier through Game Pass Ultimate and the EA Play it contains. It doesn’t seem unlikely that it will make it to the regular subscription tier.

Dataminers find references to the in-game store and premium currency
Update 4.0 brings photos: With Last update It looks like the code for Battlefield 2042 has also added images to new categories not previously featured in the game. Apparently, it is planned to introduce an extensive in-game store. Judging from these images, there could be bundles, lots of cosmetic items, premium currency, and experience boosts to purchase.

How serious is this? Enough: the finds go back to a temporary dataminer. He has been right several times in the past, and accordingly, this shop could actually come into existence. But there hasn’t been an official announcement yet, and such finds don’t necessarily mean something like this will actually come into play.
