With plug-in caliber E4 Tag Heuer new smart watch presented – not the first smartwatch from the home of the Swiss luxury watchmaker. More precisely, it should be said, a series of smart watches, because Caliber E4 available in various options and two sizes. The model is offered with a slim 42mm bezel and a 45mm bezel for a more robust look.
For Connected caliber E4 Tag Heuer has redesigned. The E4 has a larger crown and a new button designed to improve ergonomics. The display with a diagonal of 1.39 inches (3.53 cm, 326 pixels per inch) is protected by a sapphire crystal. Behind it is a high-resolution display with an emphasis on readability. It can be equipped with both digital and analog mechanical dials.
Design is one thing, functionality is another. And so smartwatches have received various fitness tracking options. Without a smartphone, you can, for example, do 7-minute workouts. Distance (GPS), speed (acceleration sensor), heart rate and altitude traveled are recorded, among other things. Otherwise, the watch has a lot of what you would expect from cheaper smartwatches. The 45mm (430mAh) model has a 30 percent longer battery life than the previous generation. The watch must be fully charged again within 1.5 hours.
The bracelet is different too. In addition to rubber bracelets, they also hold some in leather and others in stainless steel – also expensive and optionally available. As mentioned at the beginning, Tag Heuer watches have a stainless steel case. different sizes, with different bracelets. The 42 mm version costs from 1700 euros. For the price, the bracelet is still made of rubber. For the version with a leather strap, you will have to pay 1800 euros, for the version with a stainless steel bracelet – even 1900 euros. Of course, prices for the large 45mm variant continue to rise. Here €1950 for the black rubber version or €2150 for the stainless steel version.
You can also get a 45mm version. with titanium case costs. Here 2400 euros are due. But that actually only with a rubber strap. Pre-orders start immediately, delivery will begin on March 8.
