A major update from Amazon Games is finally out! According to the publishers, technical issues can be resolved. There is also a window of time, but it confuses more than it pleases. Servers must be online at 22:15 UTC. This corresponds to 23:15 CET. But only now there are servers. And there is another problem: not all characters are displayed. Thus, you do not have access to your previous servers, which are now blocked from running Free2Play.

Those in charge of Amazon have announced via Twitter that the official launch of Lost Ark will be postponed indefinitely. Reason: technical problems. The developers hope to resolve this issue within the next few hours. We must be patient. The rescheduled launch will likely impact maintenance on existing servers as well, so those who pre-order may not be able to access the servers anytime soon. Here is the post:

Tonight, February 11, 2022, Lost Ark officially launches for all Free2Play members without a pioneer package. When exactly? Well, at 18:00. And being late to an MMO party can definitely have benefits. For example, the upcoming heroes of Arkesia won’t have to deal with the bugs that have been fixed today.

Maintenance and fixes

In preparation for the launch on February 11, 2022 at 14:00 Moscow time, a four-hour maintenance of the Lost Ark server will be carried out. During this time, not only new servers should be provided, but also various hotfixes from Amazon Games. Here is an overview of planned improvements:

• Resolving an issue with zone chat that prevented players from chatting with other players in the zone.
• Welcome Challenge improvements will be improved to better support player progress.
• The correct region time is displayed in Marie’s Secret Shop.
• Various interface issues, as well as display and translation errors, will be fixed.
• World bosses drop appropriate martial arts gear.
• In the character selection there is an option “Sound”.
• Fixed audio issues with various classes and cutscenes.

• Fixed area chat, which now allows all players to chat with other players in the given area.
• The Fusion Material rewards for the Welcome Challenge have been increased to better support player progress.
• Mari’s Secret Store will now display the regional server time instead of UTC.
• Fixed quest dialogue UI to avoid text overlay on some 4K resolutions.
• Player names will no longer appear as “Unknown Player” in the voice chat UI.
• The words “Royal Crystals” and “Crystal Aura” are now displayed in a non-English language in the Steam overlay when a transaction is completed.

• Fixed Nightmare title showing up empty.
• World bosses now drop the correct gear for Martial Artist classes.
• Added a Voice Over option to the character select screen.
• The sound of the Sorceress now plays when playing in a language other than English.
• All classes now have audio when using voices 2, 3, or 4 in non-English.
• VO is now present in the cutscene for the Fortress Ceremony quest.
• Added voicing of Caseros in the cutscene of the quest “Gratefully”.
