Nothing founder Carl Pei accused an unknown competitor of disrupting the supply chain of the Nothing Ear wireless headphones (1).
Carl Pei said a major competitor is attacking the Nothing brand in the supply chain in an attempt to block the company’s access to essential components needed to launch fully wireless earbuds. He also argues that the main reason for this action on the part of a competitor is the attractive price of the Nothing Ear (1).
At $ 99, the Nothing Ear (1) offers many advanced features including active noise cancellation as well as a unique design. Many well-known products with similar characteristics are much more expensive.
During the first year of operation, the challenge was to make the Nothing brand visible, and this was achieved. Headphones Nothing Ear (1), according to the founder, are sold like hotcakes: since the launch of the product, up to 320,000 orders have been received. About 180,000 Nothing Ear (1) have been shipped to date, and a total of 600,000 units are projected to ship.
Karl Pei predicts that the situation will improve for Nothing, there are hints that the company may soon release a smartphone.
