Team Group places the Cardea A440 Pro at the top of the SSD portfolio. The M.2 SSD with PCIe 4.0 should achieve data transfer rates of 7,400 MB / s reading and 7,000 MB / s writing. Two coolers, one made of aluminum and one made of graphene, are available, but are not included together.

Cardea A440 Pro as the new dual point

The high performance values ​​of the Cardea A440 Pro correspond to those of the Cardea A440 Pro Special Series. The latter is advertised with a flat graphene cooler to upgrade the PlayStation 5. The final confirmation is still missing, but the editors assume that the Cardea A440 Pro uses the same configuration of Phison E18 controller and Micron’s 176-layer TLC-NAND (B47R). This combination is probably currently the fastest in the consumer market and is also used in the Corsair MP600 Pro XT (test) and the Seagate FireCuda 530 (test).

You have to choose a cooler

The flat graphene cooler from the Pro Special Series is also available from the Cardea A440 Pro in variant A. The second variant, on the other hand, is equipped with an aluminum radiator with greater cooling capacity, but which increases the height to 1.9 cm and thus prohibits use in the PS5. The series is also more intended for the classic desktop PC. Team Group has included both cooler variants in a double pack with the older Cardea A440 without “Pro”. With the A440 Pro, on the other hand, the user has to decide which version to use when purchasing.

Both variants are offered with storage capacities of 1 TB, 2 TB or 4 TB and are expected to go on sale from November 2021. At least this applies to the US market, for which Team Group gives the following price recommendations (MSRP before tax):
