The 100% electric quad project developed by Tesla is not buried, according to information fromElectrek, relayed by Phonandroid, Tuesday. The machine called Cyberquad was presented by Elon Musk in 2019 shortly after the unveiling of the Cybertruck, the electric pickup. The billionaire surprised everyone by announcing that the quad would not be sold but only offered as an option to all Cybertruck buyers.

For two years, no new information has been revealed on this machine which made only a few appearances during certain events. But the quad project, which takes the design of the Cybertruck and its chiseled and futuristic lines, would not be abandoned. Last week, Tesla indeed filed an application for the filing of the Cyberquad trademark.

Cyberquad coats, hats and pants

According to the document, the use of this name will relate to clothing such as t-shirts, coats, hats, children’s clothing or even pants. The brand had already been registered for the electric quad in 2019. But this request proves that Tesla does indeed have ambitions and has not thrown the Cyberquad project into oblivion. While it’s impossible to say for sure, it’s hard to imagine the company offering a Cyberquad clothing line without bringing the vehicle to market.

In any case, the exit of Cyberquad is not imminent. If it is associated with that of the Cybertruck, it will be necessary to wait until the end of 2022 as announced by the head of Space X at the beginning of August. According to Elon Musk, the production of the futuristic vehicle is a victim of the shortage of electronic components. Priority is given to the production of Tesla Model Y, already in circulation.
