Samyang has updated the Samyang 135mm T2.2 ED UMC VDSLR Cine full-frame lens, released in 2015 for video shooting. The MK2 variant differs from the original model in weather protection, a new diaphragm and appearance.
Protection includes a seal on the mount to create a waterproof barrier at the lens / camera interface. The diaphragm, as before, is formed by nine blades, but in the closed position, it now turns point light sources into 18-beam stars. In terms of design, the aperture and depth of field markings have been rotated for ease of use.
