The Chinese manufacturer Realme, actually known for comparatively cheap smartphones such as the Realme 7i or Realme 7 5G, is releasing its own streaming stick with 4K at 60 frames per second, Google TV and Google Assistant as well as HDMI 2.1 and extended dynamic range thanks to HDR10 +.

Realme is the first third party provider to offer Google TV

According to Realme, the streaming stick, which is officially certified by Google for Google TV and Google Assistant, comes as a dongle and therefore in the same format as the Amazon Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick 4K as well as the Xiaomi Mi Stick and is supposed to be all via the Google ecosystem support popular apps. Realme advertises with Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and YouTube. The manufacturer states that it is the first third-party provider to not rely on Android TV but on Google TV, as otherwise only Google’s Chromecast (test).

In addition to the well-known streaming offers, the 4K streaming stick from Realme should also be able to load and play games from the Google Play Store. The Chinese manufacturer has not yet provided pictures of the remote control and a recommended retail price.
