Lucid has announced the long-awaited news – deliveries of the Lucid Air luxury sedan will begin in the very near future.
The Lucid Air electric car was presented more than a year ago – in September 2020. It is seen as Tesla’s strongest competitor, most notably the Model S. After a long wait less than a month ago, Lucid reassured its fans by confirming that production was already underway. Electric vehicles are assembled at the Lucid plant in Arizona.
Lucid also announced today that it plans to hold a gala event on Saturday, October 30th to deliver the first copies of the Lucid Air – Dream Edition to owners.
It is noted that Lucid Air will be the first electric vehicle with a range of more than 500 miles (805 km). The Dream Edition has a 118 kWh battery, a range of 520 miles (837 km), a power of 1111 hp, and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.42 seconds. The manufacturer promises that a 20-minute charge will last 300 miles (482 km).
Lucid plans to ship 520 of the Lucid Air Dream Editions and then begin shipping the Lucid Air Grand Touring. Deliveries of slightly more affordable Air Touring and Air Pure versions will begin in 2022.
