Already announced in spring, Nikon will be presenting the mirrorless camera flagship Z9 tomorrow as part of an online launch event. The rumor mill already reports information in advance and even shows recordings from the alleged presentation video.

With a lot of delay

Actually expected for the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the Nikon Z9 was a long time coming. Although a few cameras were spotted at the summer games, which were distributed to selected press photographers for practical testing, there was no official presentation by Nikon. This is happening now on October 28 at 2 p.m. German time. Contestant Canon, on the other hand, let the cat out of the bag completely in September and presented the EOS R3.

The short teaser video for the launch event doesn’t just show the Nikon Z9. The Nikkor 100-400 mm 1: 4.5-5.6 lens, which can be seen briefly, is also new and should be presented at the same time as the presentation.

Leaks report 8K video at 60 FPS

In addition to the already known key data, the rumor mill gives extensive details and has even uploaded a presumed copy of the presentation video to YouTube. Accordingly, the maximum series image speed (photo) should be 120 images per second. There is also talk of 8K video recordings with up to 60 FPS. In addition, the display should be foldable and pivotable. The multi-layer sensor from in-house is said to have around 45 megapixels.
