Apple has discontinued and discontinued the 21.5-inch all-in-one iMac with an Intel processor without much warning.
The model was considered as a relatively inexpensive option suitable, for example, for educational institutions. Thus, buyers now have to choose between the more expensive 24-inch and 27-inch iMac models.
After last week’s Unleashed event, Apple was left with one 21.5-inch iMac configuration, but now it has disappeared from Apple’s website, including the Russian one.
This configuration included a 7th Gen Intel Core i5 dual-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD and Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 for $ 1,099 in the US and RR106,990 in Russia.
Now the most affordable iMac option offered by Apple on its website is a 24-inch iMac from 129,990 rubles and 1,299 dollars.
In April of this year, Apple updated its iMac lineup with a 24-inch model with a redesigned striking design and Apple’s proprietary M1 SoC. That being said, Apple stopped selling several more expensive 21.5-inch iMac configurations after the 24-inch model was released, and now the 21.5-inch version has been completely discontinued.
At the Unleashed launch, the company unveiled significantly redesigned MacBook Pro laptops with the long-awaited magnetic MagSafe, no Touch Bar, but an iPhone-style bang. Now netizens are predicting a transition to a new design with bangs and the next generation MacBook Air.
