The BYD Song PLUS DM-i hybrid crossover is presented in China. This is a fairly large four-wheel drive car with a wheelbase of 2765 mm, designed for five people. The car is driven mainly by electric motors, but a gasoline engine is also provided.
A turbocharged internal combustion engine with a volume of 1.5 liters works according to the Atkinson economy cycle and mainly works to charge the battery. Its capacity is relatively small – 18.4 kWh, so the run on electric traction is only 100 km. However, on a full tank, the car can travel much more, up to 1245 km. The declared average gas mileage is about 3.8 liters per 100 km.
The power of the petrol engine is 139 hp. One more electric motor is installed on the front and rear axles, their total output is 360 hp. The total power of the hybrid power plant of the crossover is 499 hp.
Inside, BYD Song PLUS DM-i AWD looks modern: the interior is two-tone, there is atmospheric lighting. The central panel has a 15.6-inch screen. There is an intelligent control system for various functions of DiLink 3.0, software updates are supported over the air, there is NFC for using smartphones as a key. Taking into account local subsidies, the crossover is priced at the equivalent of $ 31,000.
