After six years, the e-sports trade fair DreamHack Leipzig, which last welcomed a total of 23,300 visitors in 2020, and the associated LAN party with more than 2,000 players will no longer be continued. The Swedish license holder of the event, DreamHack AB, let the contract with the Leipziger Messe expire.

DreamHack Leipzig no longer takes place

As the Leipziger Messe GmbH and the organizers of DreamHack Leipzig announced in a joint press release on the official website of the fair, the event, which was held for the last time in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will no longer take place in the future.

DreamHack Leipzig has been organized annually since 2016 under the direction of Leipziger Messe and Schenker Technologies / XMG. The event was only canceled in 2021.

Unfortunately, this journey ends after six wonderful years, because the Swedish license holder DreamHack AB will not continue the contract with the Leipziger Messe.

There will therefore be no further edition of DreamHack Leipzig under the direction of Leipziger Messe and Schenker Technologies / XMG.
