A verified insider under the nickname Digital Chat Station, who has many confirmed leaks about Xiaomi smartphones, claims that Redmi will launch a smartphone with support for 120W fast charging on the global market. Presumably, we are talking about the Redmi K50 series of smartphones.

Some sources believe that the Redmi K50 will use 67W charging. Perhaps this will be the case in the younger model, but the older one should differ favorably against its background.

In addition, there is information that after 120-watt charging, Xiaomi will continue to implement support for more powerful charging in new smartphones. It is expected that the power of wired charging in the new flagships of the company will reach 150 watts. It is quite possible that the first device to support such a powerful charging will be a representative of the Xiaomi 12 line.

As a reminder, Xiaomi introduced new charging technologies back in May. The company said that 200W wired charging can charge a 4,000mAh battery to 50% in just three minutes, while it takes about 8 minutes to fully charge. 120W wireless charging can charge a 4000mAh battery up to 50% in 7 minutes, and a full charge takes 15 minutes.

At the same time, China has passed a law according to which the power of wireless charging cannot exceed 50 watts.
