In September, BattleTech returns to the PlayStation. Then MechWarrior 5 will appear there, including the first DLC Heroes of the Inner Sphere. The last game in the series for Sony’s consoles was MechWarrior 2, which was released for the PlayStation 1 in 1995.
The game and DLC for PlayStation 4 and 5 will be released on September 23rd. The entire campaign can be experienced cooperatively with up to four players. PlayStation 4 and 5 can play together thanks to cross-play support. The DLC can also be played in co-op mode, even if not all players have it; only the creator of a game needs to have spent the money.
The new versions benefit from numerous improvements that the developers implemented after the initial release. Among them is the ability to jump into the AI companion’s mechs during a mission and control them manually. There are also new weather effects, a revised HUD and numerous balancing changes. Adaptive triggers are also supported on the PlayStation 5.
