Segway-Ninebot, which is a partner of Xiaomi, has unveiled a robotic lawn mower called the Segway Navimow. The device uses the EFLS (Exact Fusion Locating System) positioning system to achieve precise centimeter-level positioning and can plan the optimal route for cutting the area. EFLS eliminates the need for perimeter restrictive cables like most robotic lawnmowers.

In addition, the Segway Navimow also received many other sensors to assist in positioning, such as a geomagnetic sensor, odometer, differential barometer, and so on. The device can work stably even when the satellite signal is temporarily weak.

Special technology allows the blades to stop instantly to protect children or pets from injury. The robot is also equipped with an ultrasonic sensor that can sense the environment in real time, safely avoid obstacles and avoid collisions.

Segway stated that the maximum noise level when using the Navimow is only 54dB, which is lower than most similar robots. Prior to that, the record low level was 58 dB.

The range includes four models designed for lawns ranging from 500 to 3000 square meters. The Segway Navimow is expected to go on sale next year. Segway Navimow H500E, H800E, H1500E and H3000E prices will be 1199, 1499, 1999 and 2499 euros, respectively.
