Lenovo is expanding the G series for gaming with two more affordable monitors. G27e-20 and G24e-20 use a VA panel with full HD resolution and 100 Hz. The refresh rate can be overclocked to 120 Hz. AMD FreeSync Premium is supported.
VA panel with four overdrive levels
Both newcomers have a flat VA panel with a high contrast value of 3,000: 1 and a brightness of 300 cd / m². The 1,920 × 1,080 pixels are displayed on a diagonal of 27 inches on the G27e-20 and on 24 inches on the G24e-20. While the Moving Picture Response Time (MPRT) should reach a value of 1 ms – backlight strobing is likely here – the response time when switching between gray levels (GtG) is expected to be higher: Depending on the setting of the four overdrive levels, 4 ms, 5 ms, 6 ms or 7 ms can be achieved. The synchronization of the frame rate of the monitor and graphics card is made possible by AMD FreeSync Premium.

HDR is not mentioned at Lenovo. Lenovo Artery software provides some gaming features such as an FPS display.
Few connections and ergonomics
With 8-bit color depth, 95 percent of the sRGB color space should be covered. A low blue light mode is available to protect the eyes. The connections and ergonomics are clear: there are only one DisplayPort, one HDMI and an audio jack, the display can only be tilted. There is no need for USB sockets, height adjustment, pivot or loudspeaker.
