Another curious detail about the new iPhones appeared after the announcement. It turned out that some of the models will not support 4K ProRes video recording.
Support for the negotiated format will not be available on all iPhones 13 Pro with 128GB of flash memory. This is indicated in the specifications of smartphones on the company’s website, but, as usual, it is far from being in the most prominent place. The limitation is likely due to the fact that 4K ProRes video takes up a lot of space, and Apple did not want millions of new smartphone users to be faced with a situation where they can shoot a very limited number of videos.
At the same time, all older models still have the ability to shoot ProRes in Full HD. At the same time, the younger iPhone 13 and 13 mini in this format do not know how to shoot video at all.
