Apple announced the release of the final version of the iOS 15 operating system, which includes new features, FaceTime updates, notification changes and other improvements. The release of iOS 15, iPadOS 15 and watchOS 8 took place on the same day

Apple said it plans to let people continue to use iOS 14 unless they intend to upgrade to iOS 15. For this reason, iOS 14 may only receive minor security updates over time, but new features are likely to remain for iOS 15.

iOS 15 can be installed on the following models:

  • iPhone SE (1st generation)
  • iPhone 7 and 7 Plus;
  • iPhone 8 and 8 Plus;
  • iPhone X;
  • iPhone XS and XS Max;
  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone 11;
  • iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max;
  • iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12;
  • iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max
  • iPhone SE (2nd generation)
  • iPod touch (7th generation)

The Focus feature allows you to set your own preferences for notifications and home screens. Also in iOS 15, there is a new Weather application that allows you to view weather maps in full screen mode, indicating the amount of precipitation, air quality and temperature. The Weather app design is now also customizable to display the most important weather information for that location, and includes new map modules, an updated 10-day forecast, and new weather graphs. In addition, iOS 15 includes a completely new design for Safari, which underwent several changes during the beta period.
