Apple today unveiled not only the ninth generation iPad, but also the new iPad mini. Its description highlights the new design, the A15 Bionic SoC, Center Stage function, 5G support and USB-C port.
The tablet is offered in four colors and features an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display. The use of the A15 Bionic, according to Apple, resulted in a 40% increase in CPU performance and an 80% increase in GPU performance over the previous model. The tablet supports the second generation Apple Pencil. The Touch ID sensor has migrated to the top button. The equipment of the planet includes cameras with a resolution of 12 megapixels. The new iPad mini runs iPadOS 15.
Orders have already begun and sales are due to begin on 24 September. Pricing for the Wi-Fi option starts at $ 499, and the Wi-Fi + Cellular Modem option starts at $ 649. Available in versions with 64 and 256 GB of flash memory.
